This museum celebrates the works of Mokichi Saito, a poet who left his mark on the history of modern Japanese tanka short poems. Exhibits include Saito's drawings and calligraphic works, and articles left by him. Visitors can also see a video that introduces Saito. A living room section shows the life of Saito and his family in his later years. Saito's study was removed from Hakone and reconstructed here, and a monument with a bust of Saito, inscribed with his poetry, stands in the museum grounds.
