Facility	Shonai Town Kame-no-O Museum

The museum exhibits articles related to six farmers who devoted themselves to the selective breeding of rice. One of these, Kameji Abe, succeeded in breeding Kame-no-O, which formed the roots of today’s delicious rice. The exhibits also include agricultural equipment and everyday tools used in olden times, specimens of paddy rice and other articles related to agriculture. The museum holds special exhibitions three times a year.
