Every day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, a guide leads visitors on a two and a half hour walk around the primeval beech forest at the foot of Mt. Gassan, which is part of the Gassan area of Bandai-Asahi National Park. The footpath follows the Genkai old road, a popular pilgrimage road to Yudonosan Shrine in olden times.
