Yamagata Prefectural Ukitamu Fudoki-no-oka Archaeological Museum
Many archaeologically valuable items focussing on the southern part of Yamagata Prefecture are exhibited, including a number of nationally designated important cultural properties such as lacquer-coated earthenware and stoneware excavated from the Jomon period Ondashi Ruins in Takahata-machi. The exhibits include a diorama showing Jomon parents with their children living in a pit-dwelling.
