This museum collection has items from the Heian period through the Edo period, including pictures, calligraphy, swords, armor, Buddhist implements, and garments. Most of these works belonged to Uesugi Kenshin, who is enshrined here as a deity, but there are also articles left by Uesugi Kagekatsu, the second generation lord; Naoe Kanetsugu, a military commander; and Uesugi Yozan, the tenth generation lord, who revitalized the feudal clan.
