Facility	Yamagata City Botanical Garden

This expansive garden of over 26 hectares was established in 1993 on a western plateau of Mt. Zao. About 1250 varieties, including well-known plants such as Asian white skunk cabbage, Japanese primroses and patrinia, and precious plants of endangered species such as pincushion flowers, bloom throughout each season in turn.

9:00-16:30 (April - May, September - November) 9:00-18:00 (June - August) (Admission until 30 minutes before closing.) Open everyday from the third Monday in April to the second Monday in June.
