Oe-machi Municipal History and Folklore Museum opened in 1979. The building was designated as a cultural property by the town in the same year. After improvements in 2007, a conference room was added. The museum comprises a main building, with a display of old, everyday tools and equipment on the second floor, and an old earthen kura storehouse.
