Facility	Sagae Municipal Local History Museum

The former Nishi-Murayama County office and the Nishi-Murayama County assembly hall, which are designated as tangible cultural properties by Yamagata Prefecture, were relocated here and reconstructed as the Sagae Municipal Local History Museum. The exhibits include records related to the county administration system, folklore material and archaeological artifacts excavated from ruins in Nishi-Murayama County.

Open only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays between 2nd Saturday in April and 2nd Sunday in November. We may be open on week days during the Cherry Festival and the Azalea Festival. Please contact us if you plan to visit us during these periods.
