Facility	Mogami Yoshiaki Historical Museum

This museum displays articles connected with the military commander and clan leader Mogami Yoshiaki (1546 -1614), and presents other cultural properties of Yamagata City. Mogami Yoshiaki was a great man of Yamagata who restored Yamagata Castle and the castle town, thereby laying the foundations of the present city of Yamagata. Among the exhibits are the armored helmet and the iron battle command baton that Yoshiaki actually used.
