▐ Getting here by train

  • 15 minutes walk from the East Entrance of JR Yamagata Station through Kajo Park's Otemon Great East Gate. 
  • 10 minutes walk from the West Entrance of JR Yamagata Station through Kajo Park's South Gate. 

▐ Getting here by Car

  • Only the North Gate of Kajo Park is open to cars.
    Please follow the traffic signs posted in Kajo Park to the parking lot. 
  • A free parking lot is in front of the Museum. Other free parking lots are available in the park. 
  • Parking for 10 standard sized cars is available in front of the Museum.

▐ Routes to the Museum

  • 20 minutes by car from the Yamagata Motorway Yamagata-Zao interchange. 
  • 10 minutes by car from the Yamagata-Chuou interchange of  theTohoku-Chuou Motorway.

▐ Getting here by Bus

  • Please take the bus to Numanobe or Chitose Park from the JR Yamagata Train Station,  and get off at the Kitako-mae station.
    ( about  a 10 minute ride) 

▐ Getting here by Car

  • There is a free parking space on the right about 50m north of the crossroad in front of the Educational Resources Museum.
    Parking places available there for 4 standard-sized cars.

▐ Routes to the Museum

  • 10 minutes by car from the Yamagata-Zao interchange of the Yamagata Motorway. 
  • 15 minutes by car from the Yamagata-Chuou interchange of  the Tohoku-Chuou Motorway.

Affiliated Nature Study

 Park 



▐ Getting here by Car

  • Please use the parking space at Magari-numa lake in the prefecture-owned park Kenmin-no-Mori.  
    2 minutes walk to the entrance.

Nature Study 

Park

  • 35 minutes by car from the Yamagata-Chuou interchange of theTohoku-Chuou Motorway. 
  • 45 minutes by car from the Yamagata-Zao interchange of the Yamagata Motorway. 

▐ Getting to the Park by Bus

  • Currently, there is no regular bus service to the bus stop in front of  Kenmin-no-Mori park.
  • The closest bus stops are Hataya, the last stop of the Yamagata-Hataya bus line, and Oginokubo, the last stop of the Yamagata-Oginokubo bus line.
    It is about an hour on foot from there to the Affiliated Nature Study Park. 
    Please note that there are no buses on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
